The children also enjoy playing with pattern blocks . We have the Melissa and Doug's magnetic version (thanks to my friend Christina's recommendation) to make playing in the car easier but inside we can also use a cookie sheet as a magnetic board so that two children can play at once.
We also play Candyland, Memory and some matching games. They also LOVE to play this fishing game -

too cute! well we have a closet full of all the classics, but we NEVER play them! i don't really like playing when there are no rules... and the kids don't really ask to play either =(
I'm inspired to break out the games. I don't know why, but we don't play games together often, however, our kids love it when we do! Thanks for the inspiration!
