Personality emerges

Lucy will be 1 year old this Friday and in the past several weeks we've really seen her personality begin to emerge. She's fiesty and full of energy and loves to laugh!

Cute girl in her "almost" Easter bonnet practicing hunting Easter eggs OR Indiana Jane in training looking for dinosaur eggs?

Fashion diva sporting the polka dots and stripes while she wows us with her fast crawling in a mini skirt.

Easter!

On Saturday we went to an Easter Egg hunt with some friends from church. I was so excited to find eggs, play soccer, play with sticks and enjoy the beautiful day!

We went to church Easter Sunday and then went with Aunt Amanda and Grandpa Noonan to a park to enjoy the beautiful spring day. We ate lunch, flew a kite, saw a waterfall and got our pictures taken - aren't we spiffy?

Teaching Lucy

Lucy and I have had runny noses since we moved in January. I remember my winter in Indiana and thought I would teach Lucy a trick I learned that helps store away a little snack for later. First, let the snot run as far as possible (more surface area) 2. Apply cheerios to all wet surfaces -

Looking forward to Spring

Mama took some pictures of Lucy - she realized she had quite a few of Lucy in her high chair but she hasn't grabbed her camera when we are both down and playing. For some reasom mama says she gets too busy! Here is our precious girl.

This is Lucy's scrunchy nose look. She often scrunches her nose, sniffs loudly and then ends up giggling.

vivid imagination

I love to play pretend. My favorite thing to pretend to be is a fireman but lately I've been expanding my creative mind and having grand adventures with different characters. One night I told mama that the next day "I will be a beaver, you can be a beaver, Lucy can be a snow bunny and Daddy can be the owl." The next day was full of snow caves and dam building.
Our latest adventure went a little something like this -
"Otay Mama, I'm gonna be the cowboy, your gonna be the princess and Lucy is gonna be the giant." Well - I won't share all of the details but it ended with me rescuing the princess and giving her a motorcycle and me riding off in my "cowboy car" while the giant was left to eat all of our other cowboy cars. Mama often tries to figure out what book we've read or story I've heard that would give me the idea for these adventures but sometimes she has no idea.

The cowboy

The Giant

But WHY?

Words mama has used to describe me - Sweet, polite, sensitive, LOUD, energetic, "all boy", Curious, imaginative, HARD HEADED, INDEPENDENT and inquisitive - and now I'm asking why?

MAMA: "Samuel, come blow your nose."

SAMUEL: "But, why, Mama? I don't need to. Why do I need to blow my nose?"

Sweetie Girl

Mama calls her "sweetie girl"

my family

All four of us at Christmas

Lucy

Lucy is so "toot!" - I still can't say my 'c' sound but I am getting more and more verbal! Mema sent an ebay package recently and when I saw mommy pull out some of the dresses for Lucy I said "Oh mommy it is so toot!". Lucy has 7 teeth now and is crawling fast. Mama says she will be walking soon and from the sounds of it she is going to be a talker too. She is 11 months old this week and is attched to her thumb now more than ever - wow!

"Mama, Ocy's under the table"

Yummy!

Snacks!

Lucy likes books as much as I do.

I love that smile and Lucy loves her veggies.

update

So much has happened since Christmas - I started going to school several mornings a week and Mama goes to school too while Lucy stays with our friends. We live in a new house near where Daddy teaches school and go to a new church. We have made new friends and every afternoon I ask mama "Mama, can we go meet new neighbors?". I like meeting new people and I love school and wish I could go everyday. The teachers told mama I am very polite and love to ask "WHY?, but Why?" I started asking Mama and Daddy "why?" recently and they started saying sometimes "because I said so". I had to ask "but what is a 'so'? Here are some pictures to catch you up on us -

Here I am leaving home for school in the morning with my breakfast in my lunch box. Daddy takes me to school and we leave early in the morning -

Here is where I sit at school. Mama came to my Valentines Day party and met my friends and some of their parents.

More fun at school playing.

I recently took my first trip to the dentist. Mama was very pleased that Lucy and I were able to stay there and be good for 3 whole hours. I liked the dentist and they even let me help hold "Mr. Thirsty" - the spit sucker.
