3 months old!

He's three months old and starting to get used to life with this family - I'll admit we are alot to get used to but full of love.

Mr. McScreamy Pants is becoming less and less screamy and more and more "Don't Worry, Be Happy".  We made it to the school and back yesterday with NO crying.  This is huge.  Seriously.  Huge.

Y'all - he's sweet as pie and is cooing and smiling.  Sweet thang!

Happy Three months Puddin' Head!

Grandma

A House Full of LOVE

We took a super quick trip down to the farm for the last couple of days.  We played, walked the dirt roads, climbed trees, cleaned barns, cooked and cleaned and played with the cousins.  This morning when Grandma and Papa woke up - all 6 of the grandkids were there.

I told her - "Here is the fruit of your love!"  (Noisy fruit - cute fruit, running all over the place :)

My Four Bundles of LOVE!
Casey's 2 Bundles of LOVE!

Cousin fun!

We got to celebrate Wyatt's 6th birthday while at the farm.  What a great time!  We love you Wyatt and Mason.

Those cousins love each other and we were so glad to celebrate, play and enjoy time with the cousins!

Who does he look like?

I've gotten the question lately about who #4 looks like - I always have trouble telling these kind of things - but here are the comparison photos - Who does he look like?

Mr. McScreamy pants

Mr. McScreamy Pants - Y'all, that's what I affectionately call this little man.  Sometimes I call him Puddin' Head - but it's all in love, all in love.

Don't you love his vest and tie?

He's such a cutie pie, LOVES his siblings and is an AMAZING sleeper.  He's been sleeping 11-12 hr stretches at night for the past several weeks - Thank you, LORD! Wahoo! It's only by his grace I've slept and he's slept - thank you LORD!

He loves his mornings but those afternoons/evenings are not so kind to him.  I carry, wear him most of the time but sometimes a mom has to wipe a 3 year old's bottom, make dinner for the rest of the family, remember and help with math of multiplying fractions and even drive/sit in carpool every afternoon with Mr. McScreamy pants strapped into a carseat (oh the horror!).  These are the times - Mr. McScreamy Pants is at his best.

But I will tell you, Jeremy stumbled on the magic a few weeks ago - "Don't worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFarren is magic.

Seriously people, it works.  Just tonight I played it over and over 7 times and he started to cry when the music went off and before I could hit play again.

With Samuel, I sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" a billion and two times.  With Lucy, "Jesus, King of Angels" lullaby.  With Lydia (I tried everything) but "Swing Lo, Sweet Chariot" always seemed to work.  But my fourth, lets hope his musical reggae choice will mellow him out in the months to come and we'll all be living "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and not having to sing it on repeat!

AND - he's found his thumb.  When he sleeps he can get his thumb to his mouth - just not while he's playing and awake.  So, we're on the downhill slide.  Another thumb sucker will be hard on the back end but worth every minute on this side of 1.

Who wore it best?

Today on "Who wore it best?"

We have two colorful contestants

Contestant #1 - Miss L is full of giggles and mischief and could break out in song at any moment
Contestant #2 - Mr. McScreamy Pants is full of smiles (for about 3 minutes a day or any time you play "Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFarrin) and could break out in a loud wail as quick as you can say "car-rider line"

Here they are in their drab morning attire.
Yes, that is as drab as she gets - always a character and
No, the onesie did not tell the truth for him, except for this brief break in the cloud.
Thank You Lord, for smiles!
It was noted this morning that both wore the same fashion statement on the same morning
- now who wore it best?

I think the missing tooth brings out the purple in Miss L's hair and the rolls of chub on Mr. McScreamy Pants are just too cute!

Definitely a close call - I'm thinking this one could go either way -

Hope your Wednesday is full of smiles, color and a few giggles!

Quotes

While helping me unload the dishwasher and putting the silverware away, Lydia dropped some of the silverware on the floor...

Lydia:  "Don't worry Mama, it's not glass-able"

And then

Lydia was talking about taking breakfast to Samuel in bed for his birthday last year.

Lydia: "When I went into his room he was WIDE asleep Mama - Wide Asleep"
