Mr. McScreamy Pants - Y'all, that's what I affectionately call this little man. Sometimes I call him Puddin' Head - but it's all in love, all in love.
Don't you love his vest and tie?
He's such a cutie pie, LOVES his siblings and is an AMAZING sleeper. He's been sleeping 11-12 hr stretches at night for the past several weeks - Thank you, LORD! Wahoo! It's only by his grace I've slept and he's slept - thank you LORD!
He loves his mornings but those afternoons/evenings are not so kind to him. I carry, wear him most of the time but sometimes a mom has to wipe a 3 year old's bottom, make dinner for the rest of the family, remember and help with math of multiplying fractions and even drive/sit in carpool every afternoon with Mr. McScreamy pants strapped into a carseat (oh the horror!). These are the times - Mr. McScreamy Pants is at his best.
But I will tell you, Jeremy stumbled on the magic a few weeks ago - "Don't worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFarren is magic.
Seriously people, it works. Just tonight I played it over and over 7 times and he started to cry when the music went off and before I could hit play again.
With Samuel, I sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" a billion and two times. With Lucy, "Jesus, King of Angels" lullaby. With Lydia (I tried everything) but "Swing Lo, Sweet Chariot" always seemed to work. But my fourth, lets hope his musical reggae choice will mellow him out in the months to come and we'll all be living "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and not having to sing it on repeat!
AND - he's found his thumb. When he sleeps he can get his thumb to his mouth - just not while he's playing and awake. So, we're on the downhill slide. Another thumb sucker will be hard on the back end but worth every minute on this side of 1.
