Over the river and through the woods ...

Well, we are off to warmer weather tomorrow. Mama and Daddy are taking me south for a couple of weeks for my First Christmas to see friends and family - we are grateful to have this opportunity. I made this trip once before with Mama and Grandma but I was so little I don't remember it. Pray for my Mama and Daddy that they would be able to concentrate on driving if I cry a little bit (I still don't like my carseat). So far I like Christmas and the Advent season - the lights are fascinating, Jingle Bells is a close runner up to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and the story of Baby Jesus is exciting. I don't really understand it all yet but I think I'm going to like Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas!!!

A special day

What a special day! Today I was baptized at our church. When Pastor Henderson poured water over my head I didn't even cry and many people told Mama that I was precious. My Mama and Daddy are so thankful for me and pray that one day I will come to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. They look forward to loving me and teaching me about Jesus and raising me in a way that honors God. Please pray for my Mama and Daddy to have wisdom as they raise me! I was glad that Mrs. Gould was there to take pictures and that Daddy's classmate Odessma was there too.

LOTS of SNOW!

Here are some more pictures of the snow - Look how deep it is! Daddy cleared the driveway on Saturday so that we could drive to church on Sunday morning. There was a deep blanket of snow (about 7-8 inches) and more fell on Saturday night and Sunday and ... Mama and Daddy didn't put up a Christmas tree because we are traveling for Christmas but this tree in our backyard is a real Christmas tree with real snow - only the best for me mama says.

A REAL snow day

It has been cold for several days (minus 1 degree two days ago) but yesterday afternoon it started to snow and just kept snowing. We got 6-7 inches of snow by this morning and we are under a "Blowing Snow Advisory" with winds around 15-20 mph. The wind chill makes it about minus 4 degrees today. Mama and I are going to stay inside today but Daddy trudged to the bus stop this morning. He came back after a few minutes because the bus was really late - the picture above is daddy playing with me while he waits for the next bus. The blue hat I have on is from the outfit I am going to wear Sunday to be baptised in - but the hat is a little too snug.

Fuzzi Bunz and Me

It has been over a month since my Mama started using Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers (prefitted diapers with snaps, fleece lining and a pocket for the insert) and I like them. They keep me dry, they are really soft and feel good on my skin. Mama says that they aren't that hard to use and she has a good routine to keep me in a clean dry diaper all day and night. Here are some pictures of me in my fuzzi bunz. I like to be on my tummy and often I swim and kick my legs and arms while I'm on my tummy.

Winter is here...and so is my second tooth

Today it was 4 degrees when I woke up. It snowed some last week and the snow still hasn't melted. Daddy had to shovel snow on Sunday morning so that we could go to church without sliding down the driveway. Did I mention I woke Mama up at 5 this morning because my tooth hurt? Well, I did. I am getting my second tooth and it seems to hurt more than the first one. It is the tooth on the bottom next to the one I all ready have. And so that you don't think I only smiled today, here is me cryimg because my gums hurt - see my new tooth coming in?
I don't usually cry like this but today was just rough - it's tough being a baby!

My First Chick-fil-a

Last week was a week of firsts. On Saturday morning Mama and Daddy took me for my first trip to Chick-fil-a. I chewed on my yellow duck/chicken while mama and daddy enjoyed chicken biscuits (thanks grandma for the MOOlah coupons!) and sweet tea. This was a great way to spend our Saturday morning and gave us an enjoyable time together as a family. Thanksgiving weekend has been great!

My First Thanksgiving

I enjoyed my first Thanksgiving (actually this was my second thanksgiving - last year on Thanksgiving Mama and Daddy told all of our family that they were pregnant with me!). In the morning Mama and Daddy thought of all of the things they are thankful for and prayed and gave God thanks for all of them - especially me. For thanksgiving dinner we went to the International Center at Purdue and helped serve a Thanksgiving feast. We were glad to help others enjoy this special day. I liked wearing my Indian feathers mama made me. Maybe next year I can be a pilgrim.

My First Snow

Just in time for my first Thanksgiving is my first snow! Mama and Daddy took me outside this morning to see the snow (that's Mama and Me in front of our house and Daddy on his way to the bus stop). I'm not sure about the cold wind but I like to watch the big snow flakes flutter and fall to the ground. Mama said this is only the beginning of the snow. We are going to stay inside today and watch it snow.

OUCH! My first tooth is here

It's hard to see in this picture but my first tooth broke the surface this weekend. It really hurt on Friday night and I kept Mama up for several hours in the early morning. By Saturday it was clear that I had a tooth and daddy even said it felt sharp. I can't hold a teething ring to my mouth for long but I really like to gnaw on my hands, or mama's or daddy's. So here it is - my first tooth, the bottom left front tooth.

Playing in my Room

On Saturday I watched Mama and Daddy get the house ready for winter. They said it is supposed to snow for Thanksgiving and be really cold. I sat in my crib and looked at looked at the bright colors and pictures in this book. I really like this book because I can chew on it while I look at the shapes.

4 Months old

Well, I made it - I'm four months old, weigh 15 lbs and I'm 25 1/2 inches long. This is a picture of me greeting mama when she came to get from my nap yesterday. I do cry sometimes when I'm getting to sleep but boy do I LOVE a good nap and afterward I feel so much better. I usually greet mama with a smile and some coos. Oh - and mama says I'm getting a tooth. The bottom front tooth is driving me crazy and for a few days I've been driving mama crazy. It hasn't cut through yet but mama can feel the sharp tooth trying to pop out. The doctor said I should get my tooth soon, that I am a strong boy and healthy!

Sunday Smiles

Sunday at my house is fun and restful. After church mama and daddy play with me and daddy watches me while mama takes a nap. Sometimes I even get to take a nap on Daddy's chest. This Sunday I just wanted to smile at Daddy and not take a nap - so we play some more. I like Sundays - they make me smile.

Whirlwind Days

Life somedays is just a blurr of smiles and fun and baby socks. Mama seems to always be folding laundry and looking for some of my socks. I like to watch mama fold laundry - she usually plays peek-a-boo with my while she folds. One thing that always seems to happen is that my head attracts the dryer sheets. I don't know why that is but it makes mama smile!

3 generations of Noonan's

This is me and my Daddy and my Grandpa - thanks for coming grandpa!

Grandpa Noonan

Wow! All four grandparents came to visit me within the last three weeks. Grandpa Noonan was in Illinios for a business trip and drive all the way to our house to spend the night with us last night. I'm glad I got to see my grandpa. He told me that I can play with his dogs, Avery and Marley, when I come to visit at Christmas. I might even be able to see my cousin Tori!

All by myself

This is me standing all by myself at the coffee table. My mama and daddy think this is unusual for me to be doing this but I think it's just fine. I can't get there by myself but if mama puts me at the table I can hang on. I'm not too crazy about having to be on my tummy where mama thinks one day I'll crawl - I think I'll just skip to running.

The family

Here is my family - That's me on the left, my mommy with the red hair and my daddy is the other red head.

Daddy, Mama and Dr Jinscke

Several weeks ago my Daddy had to go to a reception for Purdue fellows and Mama and I tagged along. I enjoyed being out with mama and daddy and I enjoyed all of the smiles I got from other people. The president of the University, Dr. Jinscke, spent quite a long time talking with us and even mentioned me during his speech that night. There was a nice man who photographed us and sent mama and daddy the pictures. I think I am going to like it here at Purdue.

Bald and Cute

I am growing fast my mama says and I am enjoying life in Indiana. I like to play on the floor by myself, eat, smile, squeal and take walks. I like to watch the leaves blow in the wind, I like to blow bubbles and stand up on the floor while holding mama's fingers but I do NOT like my carseat. Mama has tried everything to make me like sitting in my carseat but I just don't like it. I do like when mama sings me Twinkle, Twinkle little Star - that makes me quit crying for a little while so that mama can concentrate to drive. I hope one day that I will not cry when my mommy puts me in my carseat.

Purdue with Nana and Uncle Kyle

A few days after my Grandma and Granpa Kinsey left, my mama's parents, my NaNa and Uncle Kyle came, Daddy's mom and brother. We had a good time. Nana played with me and gave me baths and uncle Kyle entertained me when we were in the car. We also ventured out to see West Lafayette once or twice - we went to Purdue and saw the Purdue Boilermaker train.

At the Wabash

We also went for a walk along the Wabsh river on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I like to look at the leaves on the trees when the wind blows them. Of course, I slept most of the time on this trip. Daddy carried me the whole way and I slept like a baby. I liked having NaNa and Uncle Kyle here. I hope they come back to visit.

October visit

October was a busy month for me. My social calendar was full with grandparents and visitors. My Grandma and Grandpa Kinsey visited first and we had a great time. I smiled lots and got lots of hugs and kisses. I went to a battlefield with Grandpa, saw the pretty leaves on the trees and even stayed at home with Grandma and Grandpa while mama and daddy went on a date. I can't wait to visit grandma and grandpa's farm at Christmas. Come back and visit any time!

My new hat

Mama and grandma got me this new hat. Grandpa thought it looked a little funny but I'm still cute!

Me and Grandpa

I liked playing with grandpa too.

Grandma and coffee

I loved smiling at Grandma first thing in the morning while she was having her coffee

What's in Grandma's bag?

My grandma tried to take me home with her to Florida but Mama caught us!

Samuel at the computer

My mom found this website for me to keep you up to date on what is going on with me as I grow big and strong. So far I am enjoying life with my Mama and Daddy and like being alive. There is so much to see and do and I hope to update you frequently with pictures and stories of my adventures in this amazing world. This is a picture of me with my Daddy. I like being at home with mom all day but I really like it when Daddy gets home from school and plays with me.
