Kelly's surgery went very well: her thyroid was removed without complications and there was no evidence that it had spread. The doctor was enthusiastic, saying that the cancer was in an early stage and that we should celebrate because they "nipped it in the bud." She is recovering in the hospital and will come home Tuesday where she will rest for the entire week. Thanks to Grandma and Papa for keeping the kids this week so that she can fully rest. And thanks to everyone for your many displays of love and support. We appreciate your prayers, notes, text messages, e-mails, calls, etc.
Clearly, God's Word teaches us that life is about relationships more than anything else. Even secular studies on happiness have concluded that the happiest people in the world are those who have the best relationships. We have been reminded of this truth this week as we have experienced such a strong outpouring of love. Thank you for glorifying God by reminding us of His loving care this week.

good to hear that all went well ! your news sounds very promising from the dr. -I have heard that recovery is pretty tough.. so make sure you get enough rest and down time. take it easy..even MOMS need a break.
ps. your family pics are great! kids are getting so big!
Finally, finally I found your blog again, Kelly and Jeremy. Jer, I got your vm and left you a vm, but never heard back from you. Have been very concerned, but couldn't get you on the phone. Tried to get Jack, but phone not listed, so today I did a search and finally found you. Ed and I are both soooo thankful to read here that the surgery went well and that the doc feels confident all the cancer was removed. I am thanking God along with your friends that all is well. We love you, Cris and Ed
