Tractors

I love trucks and tractors - "tractors" and "trucks" were two of the first words I ever said (even before I said mama) Here are my latest tractor friends. Each tractor has a different name and mama is doing quite well keeping up with them - "Mit-ser" or Mixer, "Truck", "Ba-doser" or bulldozer and Tractor.Mama was curious when Lucy was born if I would take to dolls and want to be parental for a while (she heard that wasn't uncommon for big brothers) but I've never really been too interested in dolls or stuffed animals and it remains true for now. BUT I have become attached to these tractors and take them everywhere (oh, don't you like my boots? I put them on all by myself this day before mama even knew it)
I take them for walks in my bucket and like to dump them out and pick them up making for extra long walks...
They eat lunch with me - mama had to clean the apple sauce off of Mixer the other day because he was a messy eater...
We play in the leaves and the dirt - and boy do we get dirty. I especially like when we get to play in the mud and the water hose. Of course, after we get so dirty mama has to give us all a bath before she puts us all to bed. The tractors aren't so good at being still at night so I put them on the table next to my crib so that I can see them and get to them first thing in the morning when I wake up - I love my tractors.
Mama and Lucy go with me on my adventures outside. Lucy doesn't seem so interested yet (here she is yawning)- she just doesn't know what she is missing!

Lucy's long days

So far I haven't been able to convince Lucy to play tractors with me but she seems to be surviving each day without them - how does she do it?

Even though mama isn't into ruffles for herself - she seemed to get pretty excited about these ruffles.

Lucy enjoys baths like me - here is her first bath.

After a long day of sleeping and eating she was at it again - more sleeping.

Grandma and Baba were here!

I sure do miss having Grandma and Baba around. I can't wait to visit them in Florida soon.

My Baby Sister

We caught Lucy with her eyes open several times in the past few days. She likes to sleep - mama calls her sleeping beauty!

I have decided I'm going to keep her - I was considering the refund option on Lucy for the first few days but now I kind of like having her around. She doesn't cry much, she sleeps alot and mama can still play with me when she is around. I get to hold Lucy sometimes and I like to pretend to go "night-night" when she is asleep.

It's been a little chilly around here the last week and I haven't been able to get outside and play a whole lot - this shot captures the spirit of the last few days!

Look at those lashes! I'm not sure what color Lucy's hair is going to be but I hope she gets these lashes.

Drumroll please ....

Here she is! Introducing my new baby sister Lucy Hope Noonan. She was born on March 28 at 3:42 in the afternoon in Atlanta, GA. She weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. I think she is beautiful. Here are some pictures of her and our family.
Here is a picture of me when I was born on July 16, 2005. I was long and lanky and weighed only 6 lbs 8 oz.Here is Miss Lucy on the day she got home from the hospital. She likes to snooze so it might be a while before you get to see her eyes.

Here is another picutre of her snoozing. Look at those cheeks!

Here is our first family photo the day we all got home from the hospital. The redheads.

This is when I first got to see the "baby". I like her name and mostly call her oo-cy - I'll work on saying the "L" later. I wasn't so excited to see her in the hospital because I wasn't sure what they had done to my mama but I really warmed up to her once we got home and mama could give me hugs.

I'll keep you updated as my little sister grows. I can't wait to play with her outside - that might be a while!

Change is coming!

I decided that I would go ahead and change my blog title to something more appropriate and accommodating to my new sibling. Mama says I have no idea how my life is going to change but I want to get off to the right start by sharing my blog. Of course, it will still be my blog but I will share face time with the other red head I have yet to meet.

Mama, Daddy and I are still patiently waiting - well, mama may be waiting but I'm not sure she is so patient. We'll let you know when the little Noonan arrives and I'll be the first to let you know all the details - you know, the important ones like - does she like Clifford?, can he distinguish a tractor from a car?, can she moo like a cow? or can he eat cheerios with both hands? If this baby doesn't know these things then I have a lot of work ahead of me as a big brother.

I'm a cutie!

"They're gonna put me in the movies!"
If I put this on my head will I turn into a lego?
Intently I stack and stack but it always falls. I like to play and seem to have an intense focus at times.

My Friend Anjuli

I like to give Anjuli hugs and she pats my head. I call her Juju and she calls me Namuel.
We like to play with blocks
AND love to have mama or Mrs. Ruth read to us!
Snack time is one of my favorite times of the day - especially when we get to have crackers.

We are staying with Anjuli's family while mama is on bed rest. Mrs. Ruth takes care of us and I get to play all day. It is so much fun.

We're still waiting

I realized I haven't shown you pictures of my mama and my new baby sister (or brother). Here I am with mama today. It was a beautiful day in Atlanta and we had to shed the sweaters after the picture because it was too hot. Mama is getting tired of being on bed rest and I'm ready to have her up and moving so that I can play with her! She only has 5 more weeks. I'll write more soon and let you know about my new friend Anjuli. We are staying at her house while mama is on bed rest.

Flying South for the Winter!

Well, we packed up and moved to Atlanta this week to spend a few months while mama has my little baby brother or sister (this is a picture of me at Mr. Troy and Mrs. Teri's house earlier this month). Mama is on bed rest now because my new sibling is impatient and is all ready trying to come out even though mama says there are 10 more weeks to go (Pray for mama as she rests and for my little sister or brother that s/he would be healthy and strong before it's time to come out). I was not so impatient - I waited almost 13 days past the time I was supposed to come out before I was welcomed into the land of the air breathers.

I am going to Grandmama and Grandpapa's today to play at the farm for the week - I can't wait to play with the dogs, goats, cows and ride in the truck and tractor.

Fun in the Sun (and SNOW!)

Winter is finally here and with it came our first real snow of the year -about 2 inches. I got to play in the snow for a little while today before it got too cold to stay outside. I loved running around in our yard AND the best part was I got to see a snow plow come by our house (WOW!). I also saw the garbage truck go by and had to stop and watch it but this is my first snow plow sighting this year.

Still trying ...

Still no eyes in the back of my head ...

But I found a a new place to hang my goggles...

Look Ma, No hands!

Look at me! I'm really starting to get the utensil thing down - especially for yogurt and applesauce. I still get impatient at times but mama keeps trying. As you can see I get more on my face than my bib these days. I'm growing up!

Popeye the Sailor man...

I love spinach! Last night I tried eating spinach with a fork but I missed quit a few times. BUT oh, what yummy stuff! Mama and Daddy decided to take me straight to the bathroom for bathtime after Mama's attempts to clean me up were unsucessful. I hope I grow up big and strong after all of this spinach - I think it makes a good face mask too.

Eyes like mama's

If I wear these things backwards does that mean I have eyes in the back of my head like mama? I tried wearing them like this for several hours the other day - it didn't work - no eyes in the back of my head.

Christmas in Dixie

I've had a great Christmas down south! I love being on the farm. Mama thinks there's dirt in my blood. My Uncle Casey and Aunt Erin put some pictures on their blog of me at their house and at Grandmama and Grandpapa's. Check it out http://kinseyfarmhorses.blogspot.com/

Christmas Anticipation

I got my first Christmas present in the mail from my Uncle Pat, Aunt Ann and cousins Madison and Samantha. THANKS - I LOVE my new CLifford dog and video. If only pictures could squeal with excitment you might see how happy I was. This is me watching my video with Clifford while Mama packs.

We leave today to head south for Christmas. I'll write more next year.

My new stool

Mama is getting a little too big to pick me up (that baby is growing!) and wash my hands so she got me a new stool. I really feel like a big boy climbing up on it to wash my hands. I've also found other uses for it like turning it upside down and pushing it around and climbing up on other things I have trouble reaching. Daddy, Mama and I had a fun evening. What do you notice about me? Did you notice my diaper was hanging almost to my knees (mama was trying to get our money's worth out of this one)? And where are my pants (I took them off in the living room)? And my other sock was somewhere inbetween. Can you see the big goose egg on my forehead where I dove head first into the door frame? But most important - do you see my happy smile? The whole evening was so full of fun and laughter that I had a hard time settling down for bed - Mama says I am ALL BOY!

Below Zero

The past few days have been COLD - And for those of you who live in Florida, I don't mean it's below 50 - I mean it feels like it is below zero. Last night the high was 5. Yep that's a plain 5 with no zero after it. I've been playing inside, trying to let my ears heal (they seem to be doin fine so far!) and finding new things to wear to keep warm - like mama's scarf and some long johns!

Successful Surgery

This morning I had tubes put in my ears. I had a nasty ear infection (my 10th of the year) but the surgery went well. Hopefully this will prevent so many ear infections for 2007. Thanks to everyone who prayed for me to be healthy enough to have the surgery - God made me healthy enough to have the surgery and I wasn't as cranky as the doctors usually see little boys. Please keep praying that the infection will go away soon and that my hearing will be just fine. Here I am practicing wearing my ear plugs while I bath (and mama practices my munchkin hairdo).

I'm Back!

Well, yesterday was an inside day. We were supposed to get lots of snow but instead we got nasty rain with 35 degree temperatures and crazy wind - 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph - whew! I explored all day and found ways to entertain myself. I really like the rocking chair...

At noon our electricity went out and by dinner it was still off and getting chilly. We were getting cold and getting ready to head to our friends', the Gould's, when the electricity finally came back on around 7 pm. For dinner entertainment I feed daddy teddy graham snacks - I had so much fun and daddy didn't complain. Here is our "inside campfire" fun.
Today it was cold and sunny so we headed downtown to see the festivities for Christmas. We rode a horse wagon (I really liked the horses and wanted to touch them but we couldn't - I'll have to wait until I get to Aunt Erin's horses) and walked around with our friends.

Here we are outside a candy shop - boy was the candy good!!
